Hospital for the Brokenhearted

Hospital for the Brokenhearted
Walls are painted blue
Shelves are lined with a thousand stories
And each of them is true
In the garden, the sun is shining
On the wounded ones wandering through
So come on down to the hospital
Maybe I’ll see you

Hospital for the Brokenhearted
Nurses work in pairs
Wipe the tears with cotton mops
And dry them in the air
Doctors stare with tired eyes
Their hearts have all been broken too
Come on down to the hospital
Maybe I’ll see you

And if some day I find you here
With a broken heart like mine
We’ll tell our stories, laugh and cry
And share a glass of wine

Hospital for the Brokenhearted
You can hear the waves dull roar
On a hill beside the ocean
No sand, a rocky shore
Now and then someone walks the path
And throws themself into the blue
So come on down to hospital
I’ve saved a place for you
Come on down to the hospital
Maybe I’ll see you
