Mike Berman writes and performs original songs rooted in the folk and California folk rock traditions.  Mike's album 2025 album Ghosts contains eight original tracks addressing themes such as growing up amidst gun violence, lost relationships, the dangers of looking back, and the redemption and mercy that love and music can bring to your soul. The album as listed on the folk charts in March and continues to be featured on radio and online programs across the US and abroad. Critic Sue Barrett listed Ghosts as one of her top-ten albums of 2025 in Rhythms Magazine, alongside better-known artists like Crys Matthews and Dar Williams. Mike also released the 2025 single La Ciudad del Sol which received extensive airplay and was named a finalist in the IAMA (International Acoustic Music Awards).

Mike has been performing in the LA area, the Southwest, the Northeast and Mid-Atlantic regions, and in the Pacific Northwest in 2026. He has appeared at legendary venues McCabe’s Guitar Shop in Los Angeles, the Towne Crier in New York, and Club Passim in Boston, and the Tucson Folk Festival, Cape May Songwriter Festival, and the Glendale AZ Folk Festival. Mike is currently finishing the recording of his third full-length album, In the Woods, which will be released in Fall 2026.
